Privacy policy

Cambrian Roofing is an independent roofing enquiry service for Powys and Ceredigion, operated by Tim Dennis, a sole trader. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, who receives it, and your rights. It applies to this website and to enquiries you make through it or by phone.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the town or postcode of the property, and what you tell us about the roof, including any photographs. If you telephone the number on the site we keep a record of the call and any message you leave.

What we do with it, and who receives it

We pass your enquiry to one local roofing firm that covers your area, so that they can contact you, arrange a visit and quote. That firm receives your name, contact details, the property location and your description of the job. From that point the roofing firm is a separate data controller for what you tell them, under their own privacy policy. We do not pass your enquiry to more than one firm unless you ask us to, we do not sell your details, and we do not add you to any marketing list.

We also keep a copy of your enquiry ourselves, to answer any question you have about it, to check that the roofer contacted you, and to keep a record of how many enquiries the site produces.

Lawful basis

We process your details at your request, to take the steps you have asked for before any contract with a roofing firm, and for our legitimate interest in running the enquiry service and checking that enquiries are followed up.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for twelve months from the date you send them, so that we can follow up any problem with the roofer's response, and are then deleted. Call records are kept for the same period.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email contact@cambrianroofing.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Requests about data held by the roofing firm go to that firm.

The site uses only the cookies it needs to work. If analytics are switched on you will be asked to consent first, and nothing is measured until you do. You can control cookies in your browser.
